Sunrise

Tequila Sunrise, a colourful creation with a colourful history.

Said to have fuelled one of the most riotous Rock ‘n Roll tours in American history, The Rolling Stones 1972 tour. Good enough for Mick Jagger, it went on to grace the lyrics of the Eagles’ 1973 hit single.

The traditional Tequila Sunrise, with crème de cassis, is more post revolution Mexico era, though its story still shines a party light, with the concoction said to have come about in an attempt to ‘keep-the-party-going’ at dawn.

Ingredients

• 2 fl oz Volando Blanco Tequila
• 1 fl oz lime juice
• .5 fl oz Grenadine
• Ice
• Orange juice
• Garnish: Orange wedge

Instructions

1. Fill a tall glass with ice
2. Pour in Volando Blanco and add Lime
3. Top with orange juice
4. Slowly pour grenadine and garnish
